This is Gabby, she is my sister-in-law and friend we have bonded throughout the years.  I have known her since she was in eighth grade and she is not much younger than me now.  Gabby and her daughter Bella are sitting close to each other on the couch in the main living area of their home during the pandemic.  Bella has a blanket draped over her and is holding her favorite stuffed animal, Baby Kate.  They both were talking back and forth like good friends as they were flipping through the TV.  I started the underpainting loose and free formed to get things moving.  The sectional helps guide you through, sucking you in and then releasing you down near the coffee table.  The colors are a guide in how to look at this piece.  Each color was chosen to emulate both of their personalities and energy they have when they are together.  The coffee table on the lower right hand corner of the painting has simple house hold objects on it and is the exit to the painting.
