Description
Marigolds are a fall favorite of mine. I have always loved the deep golden hues of these brilliant blooms. They are also referred to as the “herb of the sun” and represent creativity and passion. Fall itself can be the end of growth but also a new beginning. It really is a beautiful thing. Marigolds have so many meanings to many different cultures. In India they are used in many celebrations to decorate with garland in festivals and marriage ceremonies. In Mexico it is believed that the spirits of the dead visit the living during the celebration of the Day of the Dead, Día de Los Muertos. Marigolds guide the spirits to their altars using their vibrant colors and pungent scent.
