Jamie is my neighbor and friend, she lives across the street from me and our daughters loved to play the day away before the pandemic hit Phoenix.  I had the pleasure of starting this piece from life with a loose underpainting throwing fluid strokes onto the canvas.  My cousin and her children also live on the block, so there were kids running in and out of the room sometimes stopping to watch.  These are the moments I truly live for.  Jaime and her daughter Grace are sitting in the main living space of their home.  Grace is sitting in Jaime’s lap as she is reading the book, A Journey Around Boston as they slowly rock back and forth.  Green and blue were used to show Jaime and Grace’s strong intuitive connection.
