A study of the glorious palo verde. In the spring time this twiggy green tree becomes covered with the most beautiful whimsical golden yellow flowers. They were dancing around in my backyard I stared at them for a while and new a painting was soon to come. I started the piece very loosely getting the vivid clear blue sky in with quick light large brush strokes than I started placing and overlaying all the yellow and green colors that made up this vibrant tree.
